Presentation Description

Current estimated prevalence rates for sexual addiction are between 3% and 6% of the general population. With the increased use of internet pornography, this problem is impacting families at alarming rates. Clinicians of all types are encountering sex addiction in their practices. This workshop will offer general education on treating sexual addiction with a special focus on the impact on the family, both couples and children, and relevant treatment interventions. Cybersex use and the implications for families, children and society will be discussed. This interactive presentation will provide clinicians working with couples, families and children with the resources they need to help families struggling with this increasingly common problem.
Participants will receive 12 CEUs.
