Dr. Christopher M. Habben is a Licensed Clincal Marriage and Family Therapist in Lenexa, Kansas. Dr. Habben earned a MS Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and an MA Degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Habben also completed a Ph.D. a the Virginia Tech Marriage and Family Therapy Program. Chris is currently serving as an Associate Professor of MFT at Friends University and has a small clincal practicing focusign primariy on couple relationships. Chris is a Clinical member of AAMFT as well as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Chris served as the KAMFT Secretary prior to beginning as President of KAMFT.

Ms. Jay is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist in Wichita, Kansas (KS #138).  Jennifer earned her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University (ACU), Abilene, Texas in 1995.  In 1993, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, where she attended on a full athletic scholarship.  Jennifer is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) as well as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, a nationally recognized status allowing her to perform graduate and post-graduate supervision. Jennifer is also a Kansas Supreme Court Approved Core and Family Mediator.  Jennifer is co-owner of Family Matters, LLC a privately owned counseling business. There she has provided therapy services for individuals, couples, and families in the Wichita area since 2001.  In her 12 years of post-graduate work, Jennifer has performed over 10,000 hours of direct client contact in the field of marriage and family therapy.  In addition, she provides Clinical Supervision in the Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Friends University as well as supervision to post-graduates seeking full licensure.  Jennifer is currently serving as a full time faculty member at Friends University as an Instructor of Psychology and serves as the Program Director for the Program for Adult College Education for adults returning to higher education.  Jennifer’s interest in serving KAMFT is to further facilitate the knowledge of MFT’s positive impact in the field of mental health and to collaborate with insurance companies and governmental offices in further expanding opportunities for practicing MFT’s.

Ms. Kaufman was born and raised in Salina.  She received her BS in Psychology from K-State, a Masters of Education in Counseling from WSU and her MFT from Friends University.  Along the way, she also became an Approved Supervisor as well as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor.  Jane has had a diverse work background.  She was the Family Therapist and a Drug and Alcohol Counselor at a local treatment center for women and their children.  From there she worked a few years as a Clinician in an area child welfare agency.  She has worked as an adjunct staff member for Friends University providing Supervision for their Clinical students as well as post graduates working toward their clinical license.  Currently she is employed as a Dual Diagnosis Therapist at Via Christi Good Shepherd, a behavioral health hospital, working with both the inpatient and outpatient populations.  She also continues her 9th year working for her church where she provides various classes such as marital, parenting, and human sexuality classes.  The church is also home to her small private practice.  KAMFT membership has been a part of her life since she was a student at Friends 15 years ago.  She briefly served as membership co-chair until the board was restructured, and that position was eliminated.  She is also a member of the National Association of Drug and Alcohol Counselors as a CADC I.  Jane and her husband, Jason have been married for almost 20 years and are raising their 5 children in Wichita.

Dr. Macchi is on faculty with the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Kansas State University where he works on contracts with SRS and KHS providing training for Home-Based Family Therapists throughout Kansas.  Dr. Macchi received a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara; a Masters degree in Christian Education from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, Illinois; a Masters from Friends University, Wichita, Kansas; and a Doctorate from Kansas State University.  Dr. Macchi, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, supervises Doctoral and Masters MFT students during their clinical practica.  Dr. Macchi has a private practice in Topeka specializing in working with individuals and families managing health behavior changes and chronic illnesses.

Member-at-Large 

Dr. Robertson currently serves as the Clinical Director for the Master of Science in Family Therapy program at Friends University and is an Associate Professor in the MSFT Program in Wichita. Dr. Robertson previously served on the KAMFT Elections Committee as Chair for 2 years and was the webmaster for the original KAMFT Website for three years.  For the state, she is in her second term on the LMFT Advisory Committee for the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board. Dr. Robertson, originally from Texas, completed her Master’s degree at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, and went on to complete her doctorate at The University of Louisiana at Monroe in Monroe, Louisiana. Dr. Robertson is also an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and has been providing psychotherapeutic services since 1999. In addition to providing course instruction and clinical supervision at Friends University, she maintains a small clinical practice working primarily with couples around issues of intimacy and sexuality.
