Dear Senator _______________:

I am writing as a constituent of your district to ask for your support for the provisions of Sub HB 2601. The provisions of Sub HB 2601 require health insurance companies to reimburse Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors and Licensed Clinical Psychotherapists for mental health services when the company would otherwise reimburse those services.

(Perhaps offer some personal examples of benefit of this bill from your experiences)
    * Will increase access to clinical services particularly in rural areas
    * Will minimize problems with continuity of care for clients whose employers change insurance companies  Example: Client working with an MFT – Insurance changes to company that does not reimburse MFTs – Client has to pay out of pocket or change therapists or stop
    * MOST insurance companies already reimburse MFTs, LPCs and Psychotherapists for mental health services
    * MFTs can now provide service through Community Mental Health and be reimbursed for services but be denied reimbursement for the same service in their private practice
    * Will not require tax dollars to make this change

Thank you in advance for your support for the provisions of Sub HB 2601.

Sincerely,
_____________
